I have a few blog post ideas that I feel could help people who read them. If I just write them without worrying about keyword research or ranking, will it still improve the website’s overall ranking?
Just try it. Write like a normal person, no keywords or tricks.
Do 10 posts that way.
Then do another 10 with all the usual keyword stuff and see which does better.
Let us know how it goes.
If people are actually searching for what you’re writing about, there’s a decent chance your posts will rank. Keyword research just helps you know what people are already looking for and how they phrase their searches.
You don’t need to go all in on keywords but at least make sure the post targets something. Like, focus on certain topics, services, or products so the blog has direction.
If the post is really good and gets shared, it can rank naturally. It’s kinda how things should work if there weren’t tons of people constantly gaming the search results.
How do I figure out what topics to write about though? Google seems to prioritize giving quick answers to simple questions now, and auto complete doesn’t seem to help much. A lot of those topics already have too much content. Should I focus on stuff Google doesn’t have a lot of info on? But how do I even find those kinds of terms?
I’ve had blog posts that didn’t target keywords still end up at the top of search results. It just has to be solid, helpful content that answers real problems or gives unique insights.
