Hello everyone, I run a SaaS website focused on eCommerce delivery solutions, mostly app development for users. Recently, my website’s spam score suddenly spiked from 2 percent to 22 percent on Monday, which has been stressful. I’m looking for quick steps that I can take to bring the score down. Does anyone have any proven methods to reduce spam scores? I’d really appreciate any tips, especially if you’ve been able to find and fix the main causes of sudden increases.
You should probably stop using SEMrush. It’s really not great for this stuff.

What makes you say that?
How are you checking the spam score? I thought moz removed that option?

I’m checking it on moz, who said they removed it?
Remove spam links and check for emails from blacklisted IPs

I don’t see any blacklisted IPs for my domain. Do you know any other tips?
Disavow all low-quality backlinks, then improve your content quality and on-page SEO. Get some high-quality backlinks too.

I don’t see how disavowing helps, you should read more about it.
@Sigmod
Disavow isn’t very effective. Try something else.

Alright, what do you suggest then?

Why don’t you think disavowing helps? What other methods do you recommend?

I already submitted a disavow list for all the low-quality backlinks, but improving content takes time. Are there faster solutions to lower the spam score?
To quickly bring down your spam score, focus on:
- Technical SEO: Fix broken links, speed up pages, and make sure it’s mobile-friendly.
- Quality Content: High-quality and unique content works well.
- Backlinks: Stick to natural backlinks from reputable sources.
- Google Search Console: Watch for any issues flagged there.
Getting advice from an SEO specialist could help too.
