Finding niche-relevant sites isn’t easy, and even when you do, many are just spamming articles with paid links. I’ve got a unique method to find sites that aren’t link farms, are easy to reach out to, and usually offer links at low prices. Here’s how to do it:
Visit platforms like Flippa or Empire Flippers.
Search for sites in your niche.
Filter for websites or e-commerce businesses.
Set the site age filter to less than 2 years.
Copy the URLs you find.
Identify sites that seem to have decent traffic.
Reach out to them directly.
These businesses are often trying to exit, so they’re open to making extra money by selling a simple link. It’s a win-win: they boost their MRR, and you get a highly relevant link at a good price. You can even ask them to place your link on an existing ranking page or in a new post.
This works for almost any niche. I’m considering starting a series where I share unique SEO tips like this. Let me know if you think that’s a good idea!
This is a really creative idea. Thanks! If you ever do a webinar on actionable tips like this, count me in. I can’t stand webinars that just repeat the basics like ‘write quality content’ or ‘do internal linking’ without actually explaining how to get better results. This was super helpful!

You make valid points, but this is just one way to find niche-relevant sites. You still need to vet them carefully before deciding to get a link. Most of the sites I’ve come across have been a good fit.
This is exactly my situation. I closed one of my businesses temporarily and now sell leads. My site still generates some AdSense revenue, and I sell links for $50 each. It didn’t take much convincing for someone to get me to add their link—I’m not earning much from the business, so why not?
