Looking for Advice on Link Building Strategy

Hi, I just launched a new website and would love some SEO advice. I’ve taken care of the basics—keyword-focused content, H tags, SEO title, schema markup, Yoast for SEO, indexed in Google Search Console, and I’ve got a page speed score over 90.

Now, I want to get into link building. I’ve noticed freelancers on Upwork and other platforms offering link-building services, many with solid reviews. They claim to build 50-60 backlinks weekly.

Would using these services help speed up rankings?

There’s a lot of misinformation in SEO. Let’s break down what you’re doing:

  • Keyword-rich content: Every word on a page is technically a keyword. Google doesn’t rely on density and repetition as much as people think.
  • Schema markup: Good for highlighting specific data.
  • Yoast: Primarily helps with slugs and basic on-page SEO.
  • PageSpeed: Not a big ranking factor.

They say they’ll build 50-60 weekly backlinks.

That’s unrealistic. This suggests either low-quality links or links that might get flagged. Approach this with caution.

Fifty backlinks a week is way too many. As an outreach link builder myself, getting 10 quality links a week is challenging. Focus on niche-relevant blogs for your backlinks instead.

Let Google get to know your site first.

Make a checklist and follow SEO guidelines. Focus on content creation and let the process work.
