What Are the Most Challenging Aspects of Link-Building Work?

Hey y’all…

I’ve been doing link-building for a while now, and I’m curious to hear what others find to be the most challenging aspects of this work. Personally, I really struggle with the manual, repetitive tasks. Things like checking placed links, making sure pages are indexed, and handling outreach follow-ups can get pretty tedious for me. I know it’s a necessary part of the job, but it’s definitely not my favorite.

What about you guys? What do you find to be the most difficult or frustrating parts of link-building? I’m sure there are plenty of things I haven’t even considered, so I’d love to hear your experiences and any tips you might have for making these tasks easier. Looking forward to your thoughts

Link-building can be both rewarding and challenging. Many SEOs find the manual tasks, like checking placed links and handling outreach follow-ups, to be the most time-consuming and frustrating.

Oh man, I feel you on the manual stuff. For me, outreach follow-ups are the worst—it’s like, how many times can I politely nudge someone? Plus, keeping track of everything? Ugh. I actually started using a few tools to automate parts of it, but still, it’s a grind. One thing that helped was setting up a super simple spreadsheet to track it all. Makes life a bit easier, but yeah, it’s not the fun part! How’s everyone else dealing with this?
