Where is the best place to buy a domain without spending too much?

I want to buy a domain but not sure where to go. Network Solutions has it for $5 but the reviews are not good. Other options like Godaddy, Namecheap, and Cloudflare are around $11. What’s the best option?

Porkbun is a solid option. Cheap and easy to use.

Agree with this. Porkbun is great.

Try Dynadot or Cloudflare. Dynadot is straightforward and cheap. It links to Afternic if you want to sell domains later. Cloudflare is great if you plan to build the site since it includes SSL and CDN.

Namecheap, Dynadot, and Hostgator are all solid. Pick whichever fits your budget.

Honestly, the registrar doesn’t matter much if you’re using custom nameservers elsewhere. Cloudflare is good if you want their DNS. For custom nameservers, Namecheap or any reputable provider works. Don’t overthink it. Just check renewal prices because the first-year deal might look good, but renewals could be higher.

I like Cloudflare since I host my apps there. SSL and CDN are included, which is nice.

I’ve used Namecheap too. Godaddy wasn’t worth it for me. Prices were higher in the long run.

You can find coupons for Namecheap to bring the price down below $11.

I recommend Namecheap. Good support and there are usually coupons floating around.

Ionos is another option. I’ve used them without issues.

Namecheap is generally good, but don’t search for domains on their site if you’re not ready to buy. I’ve had them snatch a domain I was looking at.
