Yoast vs All-In-One SEO?

Which plugin do you prefer for WordPress SEO? I’ve been using Yoast, and it’s fine, no complaints. For some reason, I have the All-In-One SEO plugin installed on my site, even though I don’t remember doing that… but I guess I must have. Anyway, the design of All-In-One SEO looks clean, and a quick Google search says it’s even better than Yoast. Hmm. What is your experience?

Neither. Check out The SEO Framework instead.

This. I switched about two years ago and will never look back. The SEO Framework is the best by far.

Seconded. Easily the cleanest SEO plugin—no unnecessary clutter.

Thanks! I’ll check this one out.

Edited to add: Wow, I installed The SEO Framework and deactivated Yoast, and my site is insanely fast now. Yay. Thanks!!

Thanks for this recommendation. I’ll give it a try as well!

Interesting, have you also tried RankMath?

Neither. SEO Framework, or RankMath if you want extra features.

The SEO Framework or Slim SEO.

I’m using Yoast, but next time I create a site, I’ll switch. Yoast is bloated, and you don’t really need all the extra stuff.

Neither plugin will push your site up the rankings—they just provide SEO tools like meta titles and descriptions.

However, if comparing the two:

  • Yoast constantly nags you with updates and can be buggy.
  • AIOSEO just gets the job done with a cleaner, lighter interface.

If I had to choose, I’d recommend AIOSEO over Yoast.

Can you use multiple SEO plugins, or will they conflict with each other?

If you’re on Bluehost or certain other hosting providers, All-In-One SEO gets automatically installed. That’s probably how you ended up with it.

RankMath hands down.

RankMath. Yoast is full of ads, constant upsells, and endless updates trying to fix bugs.

Yoast and AIOSEO are both solid.

  • Yoast has a simple interface.
  • AIOSEO has unlimited free keyword tracking and eCommerce features.

Which is better? It depends on your needs:

  • If you like simplicity, stick with Yoast.
  • If you want social media control or eCommerce tools, go with AIOSEO.

Try both and see which works for you.

AIOSEO’s pricing renewal hikes are a downside. Many users don’t realize how much the price increases after the first year.

Here’s a detailed comparison.

Watch near the end of the video for the pricing details.

Thanks for this thread. Going to try The SEO Framework or RankMath.

I used both for years.

  • Yoast is great for website owners.
  • AIOSEO is better suited for SEO professionals or developers.

BUT… AIOSEO’s renewal pricing is misleading. Here’s my breakdown: Read More.

I still prefer AIOSEO, but I always warn clients about renewal fees before recommending it.

Both are good, and you’ll find loyal users on both sides.

While Yoast is great for SEO, I’ve found that building an email list has been far more impactful for consistent traffic.

Also, platforms like Beehiiv make SEO and content management easier than WordPress.
