Anyone got recommendations for SEO books in 2024?

I’ve been looking to improve my SEO knowledge and wondering if anyone has some book recommendations? I’ve heard a lot of good things about some books, but I’m not sure where to start. Any must-reads?

You should definitely check out The Art of SEO. It’s like the go-to for SEO basics. Aleyda Solis recommended it, and it covers everything from the basics to more advanced strategies. It’s a bit of a long read but totally worth it!

Oh yeah, that one’s a classic. I started with it a few years ago. It’s dense, but if you’re serious about SEO, it’s a great foundation.

I’ve heard about that book! Is it good for beginners or do you need some prior knowledge?

@Washington
It’s fine for beginners, but it goes deep, so you’ll learn more than just the basics. If you want something simpler, I’d say SEO Book for Beginners might be a better place to start.

I really liked Product-Led SEO by Eli Schwartz. It’s not just about SEO tactics, but more about the strategy behind it. Gus Pelogia recommended it, and it’s a great read if you want to think about SEO more holistically.

@Brown1
That book definitely gives you a new perspective. It’s more about understanding the bigger picture of how SEO works within a company’s product strategy. I found it really insightful.

Sounds interesting! Is it still relevant with all the AI stuff going on these days?

@ProfesssorKay
Yep, it’s still relevant! The focus on strategy and aligning SEO with business goals doesn’t change with AI advancements. Plus, it’s more about how you approach SEO rather than specific tactics that may become outdated.

For a mindset shift, check out Feck Perfuction by James Victore. Dan Taylor recommended it, and while it’s not strictly about SEO, it’s a great read for anyone in marketing. It pushes you to break the rules and think creatively.

I’ve heard of that one. Does it actually help with SEO, though?

It’s more about the mindset, not SEO tactics. But if you’re into creative problem-solving and thinking outside the box, it’ll definitely help you approach SEO differently.

I found The Fundamentals of Brand SERPs for Business by Jason Barnard really useful, especially with all the AI integration now. Michal Pecánek recommended it, and it’s a must-read if you’re looking to build a strong brand online.

@BacklinkBaronBill
Brand SERPs? Is that just about appearing in search results, or is there more to it?

It’s a lot more than just appearing in search results. The book talks about managing your brand’s reputation online and how to use SEO to strengthen your presence, especially with AI tools like ChatGPT pulling in data about brands.

For anyone looking for something more practical, The SEO Blueprint by Ryan Stewart is great. Joshua Hardwick recommended it, and it’s super actionable with processes and spreadsheets you can use to manage SEO projects.

@LUCY
Nice! I’m more into hands-on stuff, so this sounds like something I’d enjoy. Does it cover everything or just specific parts of SEO?

It’s more of an all-around guide but focuses a lot on practical application, like how to run SEO projects for clients or your own site. Definitely useful if you want to learn by doing.

Has anyone read Entity SEO by Dixon Jones? I’ve been hearing a lot about entity SEO lately with the rise of AI and knowledge graphs. Wondering if it’s worth the read?

Yep! Louise Linehan recommended it, and it dives deep into how Google uses entities and Wikipedia data to rank stuff. It’s definitely worth reading if you’re into the technical side of SEO.
