I’m not exactly sure when it’s launching, but the prototype looks pretty promising. Some folks from the older generation might not fully switch over, but it seems like younger users are more into it—they like the idea of quick answers.
I like the idea of improved natural language processing, but I’m not convinced there’s a reliable knowledge graph in place. Using large language models for search could be a fast track to misinformation.

So far, tools like Gemini and ChatGPT work fine for general questions. For specific topics, there’s a risk of misinformation, but Google isn’t much better, especially with its AI summaries in search results.
