Here’s the situation: We recently moved our office for our service business and have been trying to update our address on Google. We submitted videos of our new space, but Google never approved the change.
We found Yext and decided to give it a try, thinking it would help sync the information. Unfortunately, a day after attempting the sync, our Google Business listing was suspended for “deceptive content,” with no explanation provided.
This is really hurting our business, as most of our phone inquiries come through Google. We appealed the suspension a week ago, but there has been no response.
Is there any way I can get assistance from Google or Yext to resolve this issue?
Hello students,
Yext Force Sync is a tool designed to update multiple online listings at once. However, if used improperly or if there are discrepancies in the data, it can cause unexpected problems, such as suspensions of Google Business Listings.
Double-check your Yext listing to ensure the address is correct and there’s no misleading information.
If you’re unsure, reach out to Yext’s support team for assistance.
Second, contact Google directly through their Business Profile help center. Explain the situation and provide any relevant screenshots or evidence to support your case.
Be persistent and follow up if you don’t receive a response within a reasonable timeframe.
Finally, consider using other online directories to keep your business information consistent.
Platforms like Bing Places and Apple Maps can also help increase your visibility.
