I work at a small digital agency that mainly builds websites, and we’ve got a decent client base. I really think we’re leaving money on the table by not offering SEO services to our clients. I want to pitch this idea to my boss, but I need a strong case to convince him that expanding into SEO consulting could bring in steady income for us.
Does anyone have any tips, presentations, or resources that show how offering SEO can benefit a business like ours? I’d appreciate any examples or advice!
Clients are often willing to pay a lot for expert content and ongoing SEO. It’s a great way to create monthly income. Plus, web design and SEO go hand in hand, so it’s an easy upsell. You can start by building a site, then offer SEO and management afterward.
SEO is a long-term game, and results can take a while, but if your clients aren’t doing SEO, they’ll eventually lose out to competitors who are.
@Jake
How would you pitch SEO to car dealerships? I know a bit about the auto industry and keywords for vehicles, but I’m still learning SEO. I just have my phone right now and I’m trying to get some experience.
Have you just talked to your boss about it? Maybe say something like, ‘I’ve been learning SEO and I’m confident in my skills. Could we try offering it to one client as a test? If it works well, we can add it to our services. It won’t interfere with the other work I’m doing.’
