How to Show Non-Brand Organic Traffic Over Time?

Hey guys,

I have a client with a significant amount of brand traffic. While we’re seeing great SEO results, increasing visibility and improving metrics, the overall organic search traffic in GA4 appears fairly flat. This is likely because a large portion of their organic search traffic is brand-related, and it’s possible that brand searches have decreased even as other types of traffic have increased. As a result, the client is concerned that, despite all the positive metrics (like improved visibility and keyword positions), the overall organic search graph shows little to no improvement, making them question the value of our work.

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation or found effective methods to showcase organic search traffic data excluding brand traffic?

Hey bro, hear this,
non-brand organic traffic means visitors find your website through search engines without searching for your brand name. This is an important metric because it shows how well your site attracts a wider audience and how visible it is online.

Hey…
To show non-brand organic traffic over time, use Google Analytics. Set up filters or segments to exclude branded keywords, then navigate to the “Acquisition” section and view the “Organic Search” report, analyzing the data over your desired timeframe.
