Hey everyone, I’m running WordPress for my website Storify News and was thinking about installing the Search Engine Optimization Rapid URL Indexer plugin to speed up the indexing of my pages. Is it worth using this plugin for SEO purposes?
Honestly, it’s a waste of time. These plugins don’t really add much value for fast indexing, especially if Google’s algorithm doesn’t prioritize the content naturally.

Why do you say it’s a waste of time? Shouldn’t speeding up indexing help with rankings?
@Annie
Because Google’s indexing speed depends more on your site structure, authority, and how often you publish. A plugin might trigger requests, but Google’s crawl behavior won’t really change much unless the site is already optimized.
API indexing is considered spammy by Google. You’re better off focusing on solid technical SEO. Instead of relying on plugins, make sure you have proper sitemaps, saved searches, and manage authority flow across your site. Let Google crawl naturally.
@Lachlan
That makes sense. So rather than trying to speed things up artificially, you’re saying it’s about having the right structure and authority?

Exactly. Google prefers to crawl well-organized, authoritative sites. If you have strong internal linking and a good sitemap, your pages will get indexed faster without any hacks.
No shortcuts. Easy come, easy go. Just tell these people. They don’t get it
