I’m looking for some advice on redesigning an older website that has done pretty well with SEO over the years. It’s currently on WordPress, and I plan to keep the new one on WordPress too. Any tips to make sure I don’t lose that SEO boost when I launch the new version?
If you’re just redesigning, try to keep the same text, titles, and link structure. That way, you won’t disrupt the SEO too much. Make sure to use the same domain. If you ever switch to a new domain, just redirect the old one to the new site so you don’t lose out on that traffic.

Thanks! I’m sticking with the same domain, but I’m planning to build the new site from scratch because the current one has a lot of bugs. Your tips are really helpful!
If the content and link structure are still working, you might only need to change the theme. Go for a lightweight theme that has the features you need, and keep the existing page structure and content intact. That way, you don’t risk affecting the SEO much.
