I wanted to open up a discussion about where SEO might be heading as we move into 2025. Here are a few big trends I think we’re going to see:
AI-assisted content becoming the standard – AI-generated content isn’t new, but now more clients are using it even if they’re not typically into AI. It’s looking like a big factor going forward will be how humanized and well-researched your content is to stand out.
Content commoditization – When everyone’s using similar AI models and language tools, we get tons of content that starts to sound the same. Google’s encouraged us to make skyscraper-type content, but the real edge might be in how you present or package the information.
Trust in Google hitting rock bottom – A lot of folks are fed up with Google. People are adding “forum” to searches or using other tools like SearchGPT instead. SEOs may need to look into related skills (like PPC, email marketing, or design) to keep up.
Totally agree about content commoditization. It’s like there’s so much free content now that it’s becoming meaningless. Companies will probably need to start focusing on high-value content that people actually want to pay for.

Exactly. Maybe not right at the start of 2025, but I think this will be the year where people begin to demand a better content experience overall.
@DolphGabbana
There’s always been spammy content. In the past, maybe 10% of content was useful, and now it feels like it’s down to 1%. Google just needs better ways to filter all of it.
I think we’re moving toward more autonomous SEO tools. Like, tools that can just run on their own and handle things like content creation, SEO, backlinks, etc. Check out tools like Emplibot – it’s more like having an AI agent that does the job rather than a tool you use daily.
@Dorian
Yeah, I see what you mean. We’ve automated a lot, but there’s still that need for a human touch to pull everything together. But I guess, soon enough, even that might get automated.
Conversational search and voice search powered by AI finally going mainstream, I think. It’s been talked about for years in SEO predictions, but this could really be the year. I’ve been using search differently since SearchGPT launched, and I’m focusing my SEO efforts around that now.
And 100% agree with you on the whole Google situation.
