What Are Some FREE SEO TOOLS

I’m a beginner in SEO looking to change careers and learn SEO.

Ahrefs & Semrush are the two “top dogs” of SEO tools as far as research is concerned.

Are there other tools that do a comparable job but actually free? (Some might be free but have limitations)

What are free tools to use that do a great job for SEO research where paying is not necessary?

But I also hear paying for Ahrefs or Semrush is worth it because of their value and “you get what you pay for” -which makes sense.

There are several free SEO tools available that can provide valuable insights and help optimize websites for search engines. Here are some popular ones:

  1. Google Search Console: A free tool from Google that provides insights into how your website performs in Google search results. It offers features such as performance tracking, URL inspection, mobile usability testing, and more.
  2. Google Analytics: While not specifically an SEO tool, Google Analytics offers valuable data on website traffic, user behavior, and conversions. By analyzing this data, website owners can identify opportunities for SEO improvement and measure the effectiveness of their SEO efforts.
  3. Google Keyword Planner: Another free tool from Google that helps users find keywords related to their business or website. It provides data on search volume, competition, and keyword suggestions, making it useful for keyword research and content optimization.
  4. AnswerThePublic: This free tool generates questions and phrases that people are searching for online. It can help identify popular topics and questions related to your niche, which can be used for content creation and SEO optimization.
  5. Ubersuggest: Ubersuggest offers both free and paid versions of its SEO tool. The free version provides features such as keyword research, site audit, backlink analysis, and more. It can be a useful tool for gaining insights into your website’s SEO performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  6. Screaming Frog SEO Spider: While the paid version offers more features, Screaming Frog also offers a free version of its SEO crawling tool. The free version has limitations on the number of URLs that can be crawled, but it can still be useful for identifying technical SEO issues and analyzing on-page elements.
  7. SEOquake: A free browser extension that provides SEO metrics for individual web pages and search engine results pages (SERPs). It offers features such as on-page SEO analysis, keyword density analysis, and backlink data.

These are just a few examples of the many free SEO tools available. Depending on your specific needs and goals, you may find one or more of these tools helpful for optimizing your website for search engines.
