Money is a big part, too. I earn around $150 a day without much effort, and on good days, up to $500 when my sites rank higher. It gives me freedom.
Didn’t have the skills to make it as a developer!
SEO tends to pay well for something that’s actually pretty easy.
I love the imposter syndrome…SEO gives me that feeling every day.
Because my boss told me to, lol.
In 2007, I got tired of just building sites for clients. They’d come, we’d build, they’d pay, and that was it.
I started wondering if there was more—how does a site drive sales? That’s when I discovered SEO.
To make money from my site…LOL, still waiting for that to happen!
Started as a content writer, then quickly saw how important SEO was. The more I learned about SEO, the more I enjoyed it—even more than the writing part.

Same here! Started out in copywriting but got hooked on SEO when I worked as a marketing assistant.
It’s a field that’s interesting and easy to get into.
Six years ago, it was hard to break into front-end development, so I went with SEO instead.
SEO was a whole new branch of web development for me. I got pulled in and love how it’s always changing. I’m a lifelong learner, so I enjoy the constant updates and challenges. It keeps me engaged and up to date. Also, it pairs well with Google Ads and social media—it’s like they all tell the same story in different ways.
I used to join forums like this with my personal account, but now I’m here with my business one.
