Why Isn’t My One-Page Website Ranking on Google?

I’ve got my own domain and made a website using ccard, which is a free one-page website builder. The site works fine, but it’s nowhere to be found on Google. I’ve targeted a very easy keyword with no competition, but the site doesn’t show up at all.

Could the lack of paid hosting be the problem?

One-page sites usually struggle with rankings. You’d probably do better with a cheap WordPress hosting plan and a few additional pages.

I have two one-page sites that rank well, but they’re linked to highly-rated Google Business Profiles.

I’ve got one-page sites that rank fine. It mostly depends on the website builder and how well the site’s coded.

Free website builders often have limitations that affect SEO, like restricted customization options for meta tags, which are essential for search indexing.

If you want to improve your online visibility, it’s usually best to invest in hosting and a platform that allows full control over your SEO. Just having a site doesn’t mean people will find it—high-quality, relevant content is also essential to ranking.

Make sure your site is set up for indexing, and check that it’s not blocking search engines by mistake.

You also need to actively promote your site and build backlinks. If you haven’t done that, getting traffic will be tough. Odd Angles Media offers a Free SEO Audit, which might be helpful to get some traffic coming in.
